Bringing an existing account.

All of your data — identity, followers, posts — comes with you. There's no need to make a new account from scratch.

If you run into any issues, or need any help at all migrating, please feel free to reach out. We can almost always restore and finish a failed or interrupted migration.

    Get in touch and request an invite code — email hi@dummy.cafe or reach out directly below. Include a link to your existing Bluesky profile (or whichever Atmosphere handle you're migrating).

    If you don't hear back, please follow up! We're a small team and messages occasionally slip through.

    Export your data. Visit boat and use:

    — Export Repository, to save a copy of your records (posts, likes, profile, and so on).

    — Export Blobs, to save a copy of your attachments (post images, your profile pictures, and so on).

    Migrate with PDSmoover:

    — For New PDS, enter https://dummy.to.

    — For Invite Code, enter the one-time code we gave you — if you need more, for an alt or a friend, just ask.

    — Fill out the rest of the fields as needed and continue — PDSmoover handles the migration itself.

    Once the migration finishes: sign out of Bluesky (and any other Atmosphere apps) on every device, then sign back in.

    Some older apps — including, surprisingly, Bluesky itself — don't support the modern login flow and will ask you to specify a server. When they do, enter dummy.to.

    If you accidentally sign into the default bsky.social, you may see an error saying your account is deactivated — that just means you need to sign out and back in with the right server.

If your current hosting provider is unstable, hostile, or shutting down, do the following right away — before you even have an invite code here.

    Visit ATProto Airport's ticket booth to add a new rotation key to your DID (your account's underlying decentralized ID).

    Keep the private key file safe — it grants complete control over your identity.

    Visit boat and use "Export repository" and "Export blobs" to save a full copy of your data to your own computer.

  3. 3

    With a rotation key, a repository export, and a blob export in hand, you can restore your entire account onto dummy.cafe — identity, followers, posts, everything — even if your current host deletes your account or disappears.

Once you're safe, get an invite code and email hi@dummy.cafe — we'll help you get resettled.
